He was preceded in death by his parents: Rufus Pierce and Rose Mae Casalman Pierce; wife: Peggy Sue Waggoner Pierce; brothers: Earnest Pierce, A D Pierce, Edward Pierce; and sister: Flora Faye Lawson. Mr. Pierce was a life long resident of Cross County. He was a production worker at Addison Shoe Factory for 19 years and he was a cotton and soy bean farmer, employed by T B Hydrick Farm.... He was preceded in death by his parents: Rufus Pierce and Rose Mae Casalman Pierce; wife: Peggy Sue Waggoner Pierce; brothers: Earnest Pierce, A D Pierce, Edward Pierce; and sister: Flora Faye Lawson. Mr. Pierce was a life long resident of Cross County. He was a production worker at Addison Shoe Factory for 19 years and he was a cotton and soy bean farmer, employed by T B Hydrick Farm. Olen loved to hunt, fish and camp. He was a volunteer fire fighter for 20 years with the Wynne Fire Department. He is survived by his wife: Charlene Newsom Pierce of Wynne; daughters: Kathy Staggs and husband Tommy of Canon City, Colorado; Vickie Whitehead and husband Paul of Wynne; Tammy McCollum and husband Steve of Colt; step-daughters: Glenda Johnson of Costa Rica; Billie Jean Hartge; brothers: Willie Pierce, Wayne Pierce, and G. L. Pierce all of Wynne; and three grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial in Vanndale Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Kernodle Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorials may be sent to the Wynne Fire Department or the Ambulance Service.
