Nature of the accident was unknown by relatives who were expecting the arrival of the body here a half hour after midnight Friday morning. Word of the death came as a shock to Mrs. Harris' many relatives and friends in Marysville and vicinity. Mrs. Harris was well known here having for nine years been employed with the Southwestern Bell and United Telephone companies. Born May 1, 1901 on the farm near here she attended Fairfield rural school, and was graduated from the Marysville high school in 1919. For one year she taught school in Pawnee City, Neb. Following her employment with the telephone companies here she worked for two years with the Southwestern Bell company in Kansas City. In April, 1933, she went to Los Angeles to make her home, where on the following May 1, on her own as well as her husband's birthday, she was wed to William Harris. Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Marquardt, 1618 Jenkins street; her sisters, Mrs. Otto Holle, city, and Mr3. Henry Kracht, Herkimer; her brother, Henry A. Marquardt, near here; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harris, who was a popular young woman with many friends was n member of the Evangelical church. She was baptized in the Evangelical faith while an infant and was confirmed in 1914. Funeral rites will be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock and a half hour later Friday afternoon at the Evangelical church after which burial will be made in the Marysville cemetery. Rev. D. H.
