Her funeral service was at 10 AM Wednesday, September 30th at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Pastors Joe Moslander and Robert Osborn officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. Read More	Olga Koehn, age 91, of Aberdeen, died Saturday evening, September 26, 2009, at the Aberdeen Health and Rehab Center. Born to Abraham and Helena (Buller) Becker on July 13, 1918 in Chinook, Montana, Olga was known for her love of life and zest for living. Olga grew up in the Onida and Blunt, South Dakota communities. She attended Sunnyside Bible School in Freeman, South Dakota where she met the love of her life, Wesley Koehn. They were married in Winton, California on November 15, 1942. Moving back to South Dakota in October 1954, Olga worked various jobs before starting her own business of caring for senior citizens in her home in the early 1960s. She continued to care for the elderly well into her late seventies. Olga's passion was Christian service. When she and Wesley moved to Sioux Falls, they often presented music and devotionals to the poor and homeless of Sioux Falls. Olga continued to play the organ at the Free Methodist church until she moved to Aberdeen in 2005. At that time she was 87 and still very active in her congregation, as well as various prayer groups. She loved to pray and quote scripture. Olga had a special place in her heart for Child Evangelism Fellowship. Throughout the years Olga touched many lives. She knew no strangers; everyone was her friend. She reached down with compassion and generosity to life many a floundering soul. Olga's optimism and deep abiding faith in her Lord took her on a long and winding journey, and she enjoyed every minute of it. Affectionately known to many as ‘Grandma", Olga moved to Aberdeen from Sioux Falls in 2005, after the deaths of her beloved husband Wesley, and their son David. She always had a big smile and an even bigger heart. Olga is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Robert) Marler of Aberdeen; her son, Timothy (Mina) Koehn of Chandler, AZ; three brothers, Harry (Kathryn) Becker and Lewis (Verna) Becker, all of Huron, and James (Jan) Becker of Sun City, AZ; one sister, Carol Campbell of Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren, Laurie Bruening of Aberdeen, Philip Koehn of Mountain Home, ID, Jeremy (Amy) Koehn of Mesa, AZ, Christopher (Carly) Koehn of Chandler, AZ, Christina Koehn of Mountain Home, ID, Ryan Marler of Colorado Springs, CO, Patrick Marler of Mitchell, and Molly Marler of Brookings; and two great-grandchildren, Nevayah Koehn of Mountain Home, ID and Benjamin Koehn of Mesa, AZ. Olga's family is joined in celebration of her life by countless friends whose hearts she touched along the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; her son, David; her brothers, Abraham, Elmer, Art, Walter, Wilbert and Benjamin (died at birth); and her sisters, Ida and Bertha.
