Description	:	According to Norway Baptismal Records available on LDS "Familysearch.org" Olga was baptised "Olga Henriette Larssen" in January of 1887, Stavanger, Norway, to father, Hans Larssen, and mother, Karen Olava Olsdatter [name later Americanized to "Olive Olson."] Karen Olava Olsdatter married Vilhelm Gerhard Torkelsen ["William Torkelson"] on Aug. 5, 1887, in Stavanger, Rogaland Co., Norway. Thirteen other children were then born to that marriage. Olga was my father's sister, actually half-sister based on the above baptismal records being discovered. Read More	According to Norway Baptismal Records available on LDS "Familysearch.org" Olga was baptised "Olga Henriette Larssen" in January of 1887, Stavanger, Norway, to father, Hans Larssen, and mother, Karen Olava Olsdatter [name later Americanized to "Olive Olson."] Karen Olava Olsdatter married Vilhelm Gerhard Torkelsen ["William Torkelson"] on Aug. 5, 1887, in Stavanger, Rogaland Co., Norway. Thirteen other children were then born to that marriage. Olga was my father's sister, actually half-sister based on the above baptismal records being discovered. She was married to Henry Lee Beard (born in Iowa, son of George Beard.) Olga had one child from a previous marriage, Francis Oliver Beard, who was born in Mason City, Iowa, on May 17, 1913, and died Jan. 3, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. By 1920, Olga and Henry had taken in Olga's orphaned nephew, Arthur C. Running (son of Olga's sister, Clara B. Torkelson Runningen and Anton Lars Runnigen) who was only a year older than their own son. Arthur Running was still living with them in the 1930 census. Olga's gravestone shows that she was born in 1887, however, the memorial program given to mourners at her funeral service shows the date, Dec. 20, 1886, which is why that date is listed here. December of 1886 is also the birth date listed for Olga in the 1900 U.S. census.
