Description	:	Olga Ruth "Robin" (Bensinger) Anderson, 94 years of age, of Boca Raton, Florida (formerly of Holdrege) passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton. She was born August 31, 1914 at Phillips, Nebraska, the daughter of Elim and Tillie (Bjorklund) Youngberg. She and her family moved to Gothenburg, Nebraska in 1916, where she graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1931. Read More	Olga Ruth "Robin" (Bensinger) Anderson, 94 years of age, of Boca Raton, Florida (formerly of Holdrege) passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton. She was born August 31, 1914 at Phillips, Nebraska, the daughter of Elim and Tillie (Bjorklund) Youngberg. She and her family moved to Gothenburg, Nebraska in 1916, where she graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1931. She then attended the Moody Bible Institute and transferred to North Park College in Chicago, Illinois with an Associates Degree in 1938. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1942 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. Robin then accepted a position in Coin, Iowa as a music teacher. During WW II, Robin joined The Waves (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) in the United States Navy. She served as a Chaplain's Assistant with major responsibilities in music. Following the close of the war, she enrolled at the University of Southern California from which she received her Master's Degree. Robin taught as a music teacher and consultant in Sacramento, California for many years. On March 24, 1947 she was united in marriage to Merle Bensinger and to this union two sons were born: Larry Howard and Timothy Scott, who died in infancy. Merle preceded her in death in April of 1997. Olga preferred to be called Robin. When she was a young girl someone suggested she should be called Robin because of her beautiful singing voice. She liked the suggestion and was called Robin. Robin spent much of her time singing and playing the piano; she especially enjoyed sacred and classical music selections. Robin was a very accomplished musician, and enjoyed playing her German Steinway baby grand piano. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior as a young girl and was active in church and Bible studies. She enjoyed spending time listening to Christian radio programs. After her move from Sacramento to Gothenburg, Nebraska, she was united in marriage to her brother-in-law, Alvin Anderson of Sumner, Nebraska on February 25, 1998 following his wife's death. After declining health the couple moved to the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Mr. Anderson preceded her in death on January 23, 2006. In May of 2008 she moved to Boca Raton to live with her son and his family. She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Larry Bensinger and his wife, Christine and their sons: Christopher and Matthew all of Boca Raton; step-daughter, Muriel Pearson and her husband, Norris of Holdrege; two sisters: Violet Morrow of Holdrege and Pearl Palmer of Gallatin, Missouri; one brother, Harold Youngberg and his wife, Vivian of Wheaton, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her two husbands and one son, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Evelyn Anderson, Mildred Rohland and her husband, Richard, Lillian Youngberg and Grace Youngberg; brother, Paul Youngberg; and brothers-in-law: Rush Morrow and Joseph Palmer.
