Mischke, age 91, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin - formerly of Watertown (and rural Hazel), South Dakota passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in LaCrosse, WI. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 1st, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with Reverend Benjamin Radtke officiating. Suzy Steinmetz will be the organist. Visitation will take place at 9:30am prior to the service at the church. Olga was born to Julius and Minnie (Vogt) Klatt in Kampaska Township Codington County, South Dakota on February 20, 1920. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grover, SD. On November 23, 1941 she married Arnold Mischke at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two daughters and one son. They farmed in the Hazel area until retirement. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing. In September of 2004 she moved to La Crosse to be near her daughter and family. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Schuster of La Crosse, WI; one son, Duane (Linda) Mischke of Eden Prairie, MN; one son-in-law, Richard (Janice) Nelson of Willmar, MN; one brother, Edmund Klatt of Watertown, SD; and one brother-in-law, Rev. Carl Mischke of Sun Prairie, WI; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; a daughter, Carol Nelson; and a son-in-law, Carl Schuster. The Honorary and Active Pallbearers will be Olga's grandchildren: Aaron Larson~Sarah Larson~Brent Decker~Rachel Decker~Leah Schuster~Christina Hayes~Ethan Hayes~Revis Nelson~Julie Nelson~Bill Corum~Teresa Corum~Jon Ahlgren Tammy Ahlgren~Brett Tibodeau and Lana Tibodeau.
