September 15, 2020: Thank you to findagrave member swede for posting Olin's obituary from Ness City, Kansas, which gave the information that Olin was to be sent to Ottumwa for burial. When I created this memorial, I included a note, saying that I did not know if Olin was actually buried here or if this was a cenotaph inscription. When I created this memorial, I included a note, saying that I did not know if Olin was actually buried here or if this was a cenotaph inscription. In the Iowa Cemetery Records in ancestry.com, Olin is listed as being buried in Shaul Cemetery. These cemetery records were taken from the WPA readings of the cemetery in the 1930s, and since Olin's inscription was on this gravestone, it would have been included whether he was buried here or not. This family has cenotaph inscriptions for Harvey, Robert, and Virginia Michael on the gravestone for Olin's brother Benjamin in this burial plot. It does appear from this Ness City obituary that Olin is buried here. Since Shaul Cemetery's records before 1909 were destroyed in their fire, they do not have a record of Olin being buried here.
