Read More	PFC US Army World War II Olin William Rine, son of Oscar W. and Effie Jane Burch Rine, was born January 4, 1918, near Shambaugh, Iowa, and departed this life on July 9, 1998, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Shenandoah, Iowa. He was 80 years of age. Olin had spent most of his life in Page County, having lived in Clarinda and College Springs and the past 19 years in Shenandoah. Most of his life was spent as a truck driver and farm worker. He was a veteran of World War Ii, having served in the U.S. Army from September 1941 to October 1945. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7224 of Shenandoah. On September 25, 1948, Olin was united in marriage to Louise Weaver at Shambaugh, Iowa. To this union four children were born, William Ray, who died shortly after birth, Edward Theodore, who passed away in 1969, Shirley Mae, and James Arnold. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Louise, daughter Shirley Crum of Shenandoah, son James and wife Mary of Coin, five grandchildren Kendra and Kenny Crum of Shenandoah, and Amy, Andy, and Jacob Rine of Coin, Iowa. Funeral services were Saturday, July 11, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Bettie Hull officiating. Graveside military services were by the New Market and Clarinda American Legions.
