Read More	Maiden name and year of marriage sent by Lydialyn (47264784) ****************** The Pittsburg Daily Headlight, Pittsburg, Kansas, Thursday, Feb. 8, 1900, page 3: Death of a Former Pittsburg Lady A telegram was received from Kansas City this forenoon by C.A. Beck, of the Beck Coal Co., containing the sad news that the wife of his brother, John, died at the family residence in that place early this morning. The deceased was formerly a resident of this city, for a period of about three years, during which time her husband was a member of the firm of Knight & Beck in the butchering business. She was a member of Council No. 15 Fraternal Aid Association of this city and leaves a husband and seven children besides numerous friends in this city to mourn her demise. She was a Miss Russell before her marriage to Mr. Beck about twelve years ago, and her parents are pioneer settlers who have lived in Sheridan township since the early days of Crawford county. She was 39 years of age, and was a most highly esteemed woman with many good virtues that won the regard and love of all who became acquainted with her. The remains will be shipped to Cherokee for interment. The Verdict, Girard, Kansas, Friday, Feb. 16, 1900, page 3: Mrs. John Beck, of Kansas City died last week at the family residence in that city. Mrs. Beck was formerly Miss Russell of Sheridan township, this county, and was highly esteemed by a large number of friends in Crawford county. She was 37 years of age and left a husband and seven children to mourn her death. The remains were shipped to Cherokee for burial. Her husband ia a brother of C.A. Beck, of Pittsburg.
