The death cam very suddenly and unexpectedly. She had just become the mother of twin boys, and the doctor was preparing to leave when Mrs. McDonough said, "I cannot breathe." Read More	Entered Into Eternal Rest Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1919 Ollie McDonough Mrs. Ollie McDonough, the wife of Nelson McDonough, passed away at her home in Jefferson township at 9:30 a.m., December 30, 1919, being 31 years, 4 months and 27 days old. The death cam very suddenly and unexpectedly. She had just become the mother of twin boys, and the doctor was preparing to leave when Mrs. McDonough said, "I cannot breathe." The doctor turned and said that she was dying. One of the twins died and was buried in the same casket with the mother. The funeral service was conducted by Reverend Grigsby of the Methodist Church at the Coal Creek Church at 1 o'clock p.m., Saturday, January 3, 1920, and she was laid away in the Coal Creek Cemetery to await the Judgment Day. The floral offerings were beautiful. Ollie Vance, the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vance, was born August 4, 1888, in Mahaska county. Mr. and Mrs. Vance moved into this vicinity when Ollie was a little girl and she grew to young womanhood here and was married to Ivan C. Mattix in 1908. To this union four boys were born, Frank Christopher, Virgil V., Larry Dale and Wilfred Clinton. The father Ivan C. Mattix passed away in October 1917, after an illness of over two years duration. Ollie Mattix was united in marriage to Nelson McDonough, August 3, 1918. Mrs. McDonough is survived by her husband and infant son. Also by four young boys, her father and mother, three sisters and five brothers; besides a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. McDonough was always of a cheeful disposition and was loved by her friends and acquaintances and she will be missed. Although sorrow and trials had come into her life she never seemed down-hearted. She had accepted Jesus as her Savior several years ago.
