Description	:	Faye (Pascoe) Barnes Faye Barnes, 76, of Stevenson, Wash. died peacefully at her home on Sept. 8, 2004. She was born Nov. 24, 1927 in Bakersfield, Calif. to Esther (Trunick) and Aubory Pascoe, a pioneer family of the Kern River Valley. Faye attended grade school in the Kern Valley and high school in Bakersfield at a time when many of the Kern Valley students stayed at a boarding house during the week and came back to the Kern Valley on weekends. Read More	Faye (Pascoe) Barnes Faye Barnes, 76, of Stevenson, Wash. died peacefully at her home on Sept. 8, 2004. She was born Nov. 24, 1927 in Bakersfield, Calif. to Esther (Trunick) and Aubory Pascoe, a pioneer family of the Kern River Valley. Faye attended grade school in the Kern Valley and high school in Bakersfield at a time when many of the Kern Valley students stayed at a boarding house during the week and came back to the Kern Valley on weekends. Faye made many life long friends during her stays in Bakersfield for school. Faye had suffered from a long illness of pulmonary fibrosis prior to her passing. She and husband, Clarence, had lived in Indonesia while he was employed with ARCO there, and also in the Los Angeles area before retiring to Big Bear Lake in 1987. They built a home in Washington and moved there in 1991 and enjoyed the many sights and wonders of the Columbia River Gorge area. Faye was a devoted wife and homemaker who loved to cook and spend time with family and pets. Faye is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clarence "Lanny" Barnes of Stevenson, Wash.; older brother, Everett Pascoe, of Granada Hills, Calif.; younger brother, Dwight Pascoe and wife, Trudy, of Bodfish, Calif.; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Gardner Funeral Home in Washington. Private interment will take place at the Kern River Valley Cemetery at a later date.
