Description	:	In loving memory of Olive I. "Bunny" Mills Olive I. "Bunny" Mills, 102, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. She was born Nov. 28, 1905, in Salkum, the sixth of 13 children, to Ulyssus Grant and Katy (Kitty) Lucilla (Allen) Wright. Mrs. Mills was a resident of Centralia for 58 years prior to moving to the Willapa Harbor area. She graduated from Chehalis High School in 1924, and then attended Washington State Normal School (now Central Washington University) with a goal to become a teacher. She was born Nov. 28, 1905, in Salkum, the sixth of 13 children, to Ulyssus Grant and Katy (Kitty) Lucilla (Allen) Wright. Mrs. Mills was a resident of Centralia for 58 years prior to moving to the Willapa Harbor area. She graduated from Chehalis High School in 1924, and then attended Washington State Normal School (now Central Washington University) with a goal to become a teacher. On April 16, 1927, in Olympia, she married Merle W. Mills. They were married for 53 years before he passed away on Nov. 4, 1980. In the mid 1920s and early 1930s, she taught in Lewis County schools at Kopiah, Dillenbaugh, Ethel and Jackson Prairie. On Aug. 14, 1931, Olive received her Normal School Life Diploma. She then was a homemaker for several years before returning to teach third grade at Ford's Prairie School in Centralia. She retired in 1968, after 18 years there. Mrs. Mills was a member of the Washington State Retired Teacher's Association and in earlier years had been active in the Eastern Star Centralia Chapter #14, Lewis Co. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, tatting, baking, gardening and canning. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn and beloved son-in-law, Gary Jordan of Raymond; a brother, Neil Wright of Morton; three grandsons, Kirk (JoDean) Jordan of Raymond, Ty Jordan of Atlanta, Ga., and Matt (Gabby) Jordan of Raymond; and two great-grandsons, Wade and Jack. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at the Salkum Cemetery in Salkum. Memorials may be made to the Union Gospel Mission Capital Campaign, P.O.
