Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Will Whitten were held at the Methodist church in Albion Friday afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. E. C. Mitchell, pastor, in charge. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery. Olive Lucindia Otto was born on January 25, 1880, near Wheeler Grove, Iowa. In 1883 the family moved to Mead, Nebr. and in 1893 they located at Petersburg where she grew to young womanhood, and where she became a member of the Methodist church. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery. Olive Lucindia Otto was born on January 25, 1880, near Wheeler Grove, Iowa. In 1883 the family moved to Mead, Nebr. and in 1893 they located at Petersburg where she grew to young womanhood, and where she became a member of the Methodist church. On February 22, 1911, Olive Otto and William Whitten were united in marriage. To this union four children were born. They made their home on their farm northwest of Albion where they have since resided. She was a dutiful, kind and loving wife and mother and a good neighbor, always ready to help in time of need. Mrs. Whitten was active and in good health until the past 6 months when her health began to fail. However, she was able to be up and around. She passed peacefully away in her sleep Monday morning, July 2, 1945, at the age of 65 years, five months and 6 days. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; four children, Willis Whitten of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Olive Smith of Omaha, John Whitten of Albion and Pvt. Gradon Whitten of Camp Hood, Texas; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Orpha Stewart of Nampa, Idaho; many other relatives and a host of friends. (Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska, July 12, 1945)
