BEEMAN June 21, 1928 - November 12, 2013 OLDTOWN,MARYLAND— Mrs. Olive Marie Piper Long Beeman, 85, of Oldtown, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born June 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence H. Piper and Nora (Kifer) Piper. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Thomas G. Long; her husband of one month, Robert A Beeman and her sisters, Helen Lydard, Marian Divelbliss and Glenda Robertson. She is survived by her only daughter, Olive Lawson Long Ginevan and husband Elwood “Mouse”; three grandchildren, Michelle Water and husband Dave, Thomas Ginevan and wife Stacy and Gregory Ginevan and wife Tonya, all of Oldtown; six great-grandchildren, Amber Bonham and husband James, Elwood “Woody” Brands, Matthew Brands, Garrett Ginevan, Tucker Ginevan and Cheyanne Ginevan; four great-great-grandchildren, Mason Malcolm, Katie, James and Tyler Bonham; one brother, James T Piper and friend Wilma; three sisters, Dora Wilson, of West Virginia, Phyllis Rader and husband Rick, of Florida and Joyce Morris, of West Virginia; a special niece, Sue Richards and numerous other nieces and nephews. Olive was a homemaker where she worked with her husband on their 1700 acre farm in Oldtown. She was a “die hard” Democrat who worked hard for her community, working for the Oldtown Fire Department which she was “Fire Lady of the Year” and was Past President of the Allegany-Garrett County Ladies Auxiliary. She was the only honorary graduate of the class of 1985 Oldtown School. She attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Oldtown. Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. (www.scarpellifh.com) 108 Virginia Ave., on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Caroline Wilson and Pastor Charlie Riggleman officiating. Interment will be in the Long Family Cemetery, Oldtown. Pallbearers will be Dave Bennett, Lenny Bennett, Cletus Evans, Bucky Hall, Ricky Ginevan, Woody Brands, Matthew Brands and Carson Gross. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Rev. Carolyn Wilson and the Rev.
