Born in Owensville, O., Mrs. Gatch lived for many years on their old homestead near Milford. Her late husband was for many years, Milford postmaster. He was the great-grandson of the Rev. Philip Gatch, founder of the Methodism in the Northwest Territory. The family built the homestead on a land grant estate near Milford in 1798, close to the stage coach route which is now U.S. Highway 50. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Gatch leaves a son, Frank Gatch, Milford; two other daughters, Mrs. Harry Hill, Marlow Okla., and Mrs. J.B. Jordan, Blanchester, O., and two sisters Mrs. Ella Lane, Batavia, O., and Mrs. Joseph Seaman, Dayton, O.
