Description	:	Olive Theresa Eide, 98, of Eureka, died on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was born southwest of Eureka on January 31, 1904 the daughter of Otto Daniel and Julia Matilda (Holverson) Eide. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran Church in September of 1918. She was raised in the Upper Fall River area and attended grade school there. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1923, and then attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. After her schooling she returned to the area and worked as... Read More	Olive Theresa Eide, 98, of Eureka, died on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was born southwest of Eureka on January 31, 1904 the daughter of Otto Daniel and Julia Matilda (Holverson) Eide. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran Church in September of 1918. She was raised in the Upper Fall River area and attended grade school there. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1923, and then attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. After her schooling she returned to the area and worked as deputy county superintendent of schools for a few years and later as a bookkeeper in the office of Ward McGinnis, upon her retirement she was assistant cashier and bookkeeper in the Citizens National Bank in Eureka. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Eureka. She is survived by a sister-in-law Freda Eide of Eureka; and a cousin Alvina Collena of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 12, at the Campbell Kelley Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Ungs of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Upper Fall River Cemetery. Published in the Eureka Hearld Feb. 14, 2002
