Huntington on May 6, 1931, in Warren County, IN. --Family Search, Indiana Marriages ========== OXFORD - Olive Viola Thompson Huntington, 72, and her husband, Edwin Byron Huntington, 79, were killed instantly at 11:30 AM Friday [Nov. 13, 1970] due to injuries sustained in a car-truck collision on U.S. 41 north of Attica in Warren County. Mrs. Huntington would have been 73 today. The Huntington car was headed northbound on U.S. 41 when it veered across the centerline into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck state police said. Mrs. Huntington was born at Monticello and attended Valley School there. She was a Benton County resident since 1932, and had lived in Oxford for the past four years. Her first marriage in 1914 was to Orson Cope, who died. In 1923, she married Grant Williams; they divorced. In 1931, she married Mr. Huntington. She was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 57 Auxiliary at Fowler. Surviving are two sons, Douglas Dean Cope of Lorain, OH, and Donald G. Williams of Oxford; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby R. Marcus of Bronkville, NY, and Mrs. Mary Eileen Flaherty of Monticello; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Fross of Monticello and Mrs. Ralph Walters of Monon; three brothers, Lance Thompson of South Bend, Robert Thompson and Kenneth Thompson, both of Denver, CO; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. --Lafayette Journal & Courier - Sat 11/14/1970, pages 1, 14
