Mr. Martin was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a son of the late Joseph Malloy and Victoria Rogers Martin. He was a member of Mt. Trolley Freewill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Martin was a self-employed farmer and carpenter and was a faithful and devoted father. Read More	Oliver Carl ''O.C.'' Martin, 83, of Old Tram Road, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Martin was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a son of the late Joseph Malloy and Victoria Rogers Martin. He was a member of Mt. Trolley Freewill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Martin was a self-employed farmer and carpenter and was a faithful and devoted father. He was predeceased by his first wife, Zettie Bob Martin; three brothers, Wilikin Martin, Orphy Lee Martin and Zachous Martin; and one sister, Olive Martin. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Shelley Martin of Aynor; two sons, Carl Eugene Martin and his wife, Wanda, and Michael Joseph Martin and his wife, Pam, all of Aynor; three daughters, Marilyn Shipper and her husband, Windell, of Laurens, Carolyn Rabon and her husband, Buddy, and Brenda Squires, all of Aynor; one step-daughter, Shelley Byrd of Conway; 10 grandchildren, Brent Skipper, Martin B. Skipper, Brandon Skipper, Stephanie R. Harrelson, Buddy Rabon Jr., Christopher C. Martin, Will Squires, Justin M. Martin, Lindsey Swanner and Courtney Martin; one step-granddaughter, Carlin Byrd; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Pensecola Martin of Aynor and Lindsey Martin of Conway. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2007, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. Marty Cox, Stephanie Harrelson and Pamela Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Aynor Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the home of Buddy and Carolyn Rabon on Dogwood Drive in Aynor.
