Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Lacy (Walter) Hamill. Mr. Hamill was a manufacturer of auto parts in Detroit where he had resided the past 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Nellie (Rowan) Hamill; a son, Richard Hamill, Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley H. O’Brien, Canton, Ohio; a brother, Harry B. Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. James Remley, of Mt. Lake Park Methodist Church.
