Description	:	O. Lyle Boadwine, born near Thomas, was the son of Frank X. and Esther Hunter Boadwine. He lived with his parents until 1924 when he married Naomi Norton, (1902-1967), daughter of Horace G. and Louise Bentz Norton. They built a house about 40 rods from the family homestead in which they lived all their married life. Naomi passed away in 1967. To this union two children were born--a son, stillborn, and a daughter, Myrna. She is married to Joe R. Meyer. They all live in Watertown. Both Lyle and Naomi are buried in the Thomas Cemetery. Lyle Boadwine, 81, 315 2nd St. SE, died February 5, 1984 in a Watertown hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Leonard Haggin will officiate. Burial will be in the Thomas Cemetery. Mr. Boadwine was born August 3, 1902, near Thomas in Oxford Township to Mr. and Mrs. Frank X. Boadwine. He married Naomi Norton March 14, 1923, at Watertown. The couple farmed in Oxford Township until Mrs. Boadwine's death in 1967. Mr. Boadwine continued to farm until about five years ago, when he moved to Watertown. He and his wife were charter members of the Thomas Methodist Church until the congregation was discontinued. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Myrna) Meyer of Watertown; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Kuester and Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Johnson both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two brothers, Frank of Dell Rapids and Frederick of Watertown; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
