He was born in Ohio, November 15, 1823, and had he lived till the 15th of next month he would have been 78 years of age. He was the largest landowner and the wealthiest farmer in Parke County. Read More	Newport Hoosier State Wednesday, October 23, 1901 Oliver Perry Brown, who resided 2 or 3 miles northeast of Montezuma, Parke County, died last Saturday night. He was born in Ohio, November 15, 1823, and had he lived till the 15th of next month he would have been 78 years of age. He was the largest landowner and the wealthiest farmer in Parke County. He was a prominent and well known citizen of that county, and served two terms as County Commissioner. In politics he was an uncompromising Democrat. He was the possessor of several thousand acres of the finest land in the county which is very valuable. He leaves a large estate to a wife and 5 children, one of whom is a resident of Indianapolis.
