Description : Oliver Perry Nicholas was married on April 17, 1839 to Susannah Zepernick. Together, they owned and operated the Spread Eagle Tavern in Hanoverton for many years. Oliver Perry Nicholas died in 1854 during a disease epidemic, which also claimed the lives of two sons; Franklin Nicholas (1840-1854), and Frederick Nicholas (1845-1854).
