Description	:	GERMANTON, NC ~ Olivia "Lib" Elaine Rhodes Montgomery, 70, went home to be with her Lord Sunday evening, January 6, 2019, at her home. Lib was born on January 25, 1948, in Forsyth County to the late Egbert Zuel and Mary Ruth Carroll Rhodes. She was retired from Reynolds America, where she worked as the executive secretary. She loved spending her time working with... Read More	GERMANTON, NC ~ Olivia "Lib" Elaine Rhodes Montgomery, 70, went home to be with her Lord Sunday evening, January 6, 2019, at her home. Lib was born on January 25, 1948, in Forsyth County to the late Egbert Zuel and Mary Ruth Carroll Rhodes. She was retired from Reynolds America, where she worked as the executive secretary. Lib was a long time member of Germanton Baptist Church where she served on the choir from 2000-present as well as serving as chairperson of the church directory. She loved spending her time working with the Rhodes Family Restoration and Memorials, Inc. Lib served as board director, treasurer, historian, and secretary since 2001. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, Lib is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Montgomery; beloved aunt, Ola Irene Rhodes; and her grandmother, Cora Corn Rhodes. Lib is survived by her two stepsons: Bruce Montgomery (Fran) and Phillip Montgomery; sister, Yvonne Sanford; two brothers: Eddie Rhodes (Faith) and Herbert Rhodes (Linda); brother-in-law, C. Arzell Montgomery; sister-in-law, Nancy Duggins (Doug); nieces and nephews: Dr. Amanda Sanford and husband Eric Borquist, Danny Sanford, Jonathan Rhodes (Christina), Nicholas Rhodes (Rachel), James Austin Rhodes, and Dallas Montgomery (Debbie); and her very special neighbors: Keith Dodson (Valorie) and their daughter, Presley. There will be an 11:00 am funeral service held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Robert A. Lattimore officiating. Burial will follow at Germanton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Burroughs Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Germanton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6810 S.
