Services were held Tuesday, November 9, at 3:30 p.m. in the Stratford Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Carlson officiating. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home of Stratford in charge. Mrs. Lindmark lived in the Stratford community about 70 years. She came here from Sweden when she was about 23 years of age. She has been a patient in the Jewell Nursing Home since July. She entered the Hamilton County Hospital Monday, November 1. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Daily Freeman Journal Webster City, Iowa April 25, 1962 Celebrates 92nd Birthday STRATFORD – Mrs. Olivia Lindmark, who celebrated her 92nd birthday on April 15, was born in Sundsvall, Sweden. Her mother, Mrs. Olaf Bockland, died when she was 14 and five years later she came to the United States. In the above picture [photograph in story], taken in 1958 at Thanksgiving, she is holding Colette Conklin, daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Conklin. Mrs. Lindmark worked in the kitchens of the Savery and Kirkwood hotels and later in private homes. While in Iowa she made her home with two uncles, one in Madrid and the other in Stratford. She later married Ernest Lindmark and they lived for a time in Minnesota. She also lived on a farm south of Stratford. A few years after her husband's death, she moved into her present home in Stratford. Guests Sunday in the home of Mrs. Olivia Lindmark to celebrate her 92nd birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Young, Mr. and Mrs. Art Young, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Young, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Westrum of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Young, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Young of Stanhope, Mr. and Mrs. Alvie Simonson of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Young of Waukee, Mr. and Mrs. Soderblom of Newton were guests Saturday in the home of Mrs. Lindmark. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Daughter of Olof Bocklund and Matilda Barquist
