Ollie Estella Brown, daughter of James O. and Hannah Brown, was born May 25, 1906, near Eureka, Kansas and passed from this life at her home seven miles north of Eureka, Wednesday, February 4, 1942, at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 9 days. She was baptized in infancy in Fall River Lutheran Church and renewed her baptismal convenant by confessing faith in Christ as her Saviour in early youth and again frequently during the illness which beset her. Ollie Estella Brown, daughter of James O. and Hannah Brown, was born May 25, 1906, near Eureka, Kansas and passed from this life at her home seven miles north of Eureka, Wednesday, February 4, 1942, at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 9 days. She was baptized in infancy in Fall River Lutheran Church and renewed her baptismal convenant by confessing faith in Christ as her Saviour in early youth and again frequently during the illness which beset her. After completing her education in the rural and high schools of Greenwood County, she attended Emporia Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas, and taught school for three years in Greenwood County. On June 5, 1929, she was uniited in marriage to George Olson of Eureka, Kansas. To this union three children were born. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, George J. Olson, two sons, Theodore James, age 11, and Lyle Duane, age 10. and a daughter, Eleanor Ann, age 5; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Olson, four sisters, Viola of Eureka, Mrs. Theodore Welch of Lamar, Colorado; Mrs. Marvin Shaw of Carthage, Mo., Opal of Los Angeles, Calif., and one brother, Earl of Eureka. Mrs. Olson left this note addressed "To everyone; I'm so sorry I can't seem to get well. I'm to blame for what every was done and no one else. Please forgive me for this. Ollie" Funeral service were conducted Saturday afternoon, February 7th. from Baird Funeral Home and was in charge of Rev. Frisbie L. Yound. The body was laid to rest in the Cemetery near Fall River Lutheran Church. From Eureka Herald 13 February 1942 page 3.
