She was home with her three children, they had gone into the yard where she fell, the oldest boy around 5 years of age became alarmed when he found his mother unconscious. Read More	St Paris News Dispatch June 18, 1914 The community was shocked last evening upon learning of the sudden death of Mrs John Baker who resides with her family on the GG McCrea farm in Jackson Twp. She was home with her three children, they had gone into the yard where she fell, the oldest boy around 5 years of age became alarmed when he found his mother unconscious. He went to the neighbors and they called for Dr Hyde to come but she was already dead. Apoplexy is the cause of death. She was formerly Miss Ollie Neff, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Neff, and was born in Terre Haute on October 4, 1881, and died on June 17, 1914, aged 32 years, 8 months and 13 days. She made her home with Henry Guss of the place prior to the marriage to John Baker six years ago on November 22, 1908. The grief stricken husband and three sons survive. The youngest only two months old. They are Simeon, William and baby Walter. Three sisters survive, they are Mrs James Wiant of Westville, Mrs Samuel Whitmore and Mrs William First; two brothers are Jerome and Samuel Neff. Her mother also survives. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev Isaac Pence of the Honey Creek Church. Interment will be made in Honey Creek Cemetery.
