Description	:	LACY, Oma Mullinix, age 82, passed away Thursday morning September 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 5, 1925 in Fentress County, TN., the daughter of the late John Mullinix and LeeAnn Beaty. In earlier years, she was employed with PCA and later retired from Batesville Casket Company after 20 years of service. She enjoyed quilting and needlework and baking, especially home made breads. She was an avid traveler, having traveled all 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii, as well as Canada and Mexico. Of all her travels, her favorite remained Nova Scotia for its beauty. In addition to... Read More	LACY, Oma Mullinix, age 82, passed away Thursday morning September 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 5, 1925 in Fentress County, TN., the daughter of the late John Mullinix and LeeAnn Beaty. In earlier years, she was employed with PCA and later retired from Batesville Casket Company after 20 years of service. She enjoyed quilting and needlework and baking, especially home made breads. She was an avid traveler, having traveled all 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii, as well as Canada and Mexico. Of all her travels, her favorite remained Nova Scotia for its beauty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas “Nub” Lacy; three sisters, Verden Delk, Bernice Tate and Eula Cook; and a brother, Willard Mullinix. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bob Mason, Martha and Allan Taylor and Frances and Larry Maxwell, all of Manchester; five grandchildren, Matt Taylor, Rebecca Taylor Sturdivant, Andrew Taylor, Brian Maxwell and Mary Ferrell; eight great-grandchildren, Krislyn Harrington, Zachary Taylor, Tori Taylor, Madison Taylor, Kiersten Maxwell, Karenna Maxwell, Bryson Maxwell and Hunter Ferrell. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Sister Sally Harvey officiating. Burial followed at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery.
