He was a World War II veteran serving with the 175th Infantry Regiment, 29th Division Blue and Gray and the Able Company in The European Theater. He returned to Walnut Springs where he was a lifelong farmer and cattle rancher. He was a Methodist. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jerry Ann Morris; three sons and daughters-in-law, Quentin and Callie Morris of Texarkana, Texas, Kenneth and Joan Carroll of Clifton, Virginia and J.F. and Casey Morris of Benton, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Harris Kramer of De Queen, Arkansas, Pollyanna and Steve Smith of Horatio, Arkansas and Barbara and Ned Batchelor of St. Louis, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Jason and Shane Morris; Matthew Carroll; Jack Morris; Kirstin Bowens; Michael and Amy Kramer; Jeffery, Joshua, Jonathan and Jacob Smith; Christopher, Benjamin and Casey Batchelor. Seven great-grandchildren, Lakeyn and Conner Smith; Jayce Clark; Kylie and Spencer Bowens; Morgan and Keira Kramer. Funeral Services for Mr. Morris will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Rev. Coy Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Millwee Cemetery.
