Newspaper article from Jan. 2, 1938..................................."Mr. and Mrs. John J. Snow were pleasantly surprised at their home in Indian Creek Township, Sunday January 2nd, in honor of their Golden Wedding Anniversary which they were to celebrate January 4, 1938. A large cake, appropriately decorated to suit the occasion, served as the center piece at the dinner table. A complete full-course dinner was furnished and served to a large number of friends and relatives. The afternoon was spent talking over old times and listening to music furnished by a string quartet composed of Otis C Moore, Aldyce Jackson, Lester Moore and Burgess Snow. Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Snow sang several duets together. Later an interesting talk was made by Elder Chastain." Read less
