Description	:	Onga Lois Jones, 96, of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, March 16, at Dardanelle Hospital. Born March 6, 1903, in Centerville, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Nona Hovis McCorkle, and widow of Raymond L. Jones and a member of the United Methodist Church. For a number of years prior to her marriage to Raymond in 1933 she was employed in sales at the food market of her brother-in-law, Armour Gray. Read More	Onga Lois Jones, 96, of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, March 16, at Dardanelle Hospital. Born March 6, 1903, in Centerville, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Nona Hovis McCorkle, and widow of Raymond L. Jones and a member of the United Methodist Church. For a number of years prior to her marriage to Raymond in 1933 she was employed in sales at the food market of her brother-in-law, Armour Gray. She enjoyed a wide acquaintance, with her industriousness, cheerful nature, and courtesy... endearing her to all with whom she came into contact. Onga (pronounced on-juh), was also a member of group of Dardanelle women who created beautiful hooked rugs. Some of these masterpieces still adorn the homes of her relatives and friends. Survivors include two nephews, Joe Gray of Atkins and Vernon Jones of Dardanelle; two nieces, Anna L. Freeman of Dardanelle and Lois Mahoney of Arlington, Texas; and several cousins, great-nephews and great nieces. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Brearley Cemetery by the Rev. Bennie Harmon. Burial will be conducted by Cornwell Funeral Service.
