Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, S.D., with the Rev. Michael T. Larkin, friend of the family, officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Opal was born on Nov. 3, 1912, in Beresford, S.D., the daughter of Morris and Regina (Lawrenson) Robertson. She was raised in the Beresford and Elk Point, S.D., area. She married C. Lloyd LaFleur on Dec. 20, 1938, at Sacred Heart Church in Sioux City. Mr. LaFleur died on Dec. 8, 1983, in Sioux City. The couple lived in Sioux City from 1938 until 1978, when she and Lloyd moved to McCook Lake, S.D. She returned to Sioux City in 2002. Opal was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, a former member of the Y-Wives Crafters Club and enjoyed the activities at the Senior Citizens centers in Sioux City and Jefferson. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Cindie and Wayne Pedersen of Sioux City, Pattie and Don Niven of Lincoln, Neb., and Christie and Tom Travis of Quincy, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy LaFleur of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Pearl Pearson of Palm Desert, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, David, Douglas and Patrick LaFleur, Laura Roller, Jeff Pedersen, Matthew and Mark Niven, Tamara Bower, Kelly Larson and Melynda Hirschauer; 11 great-grandchildren, Patrick and Sophia LaFleur, Alex and Jackson LaFleur, Lindsey and Emily LaFleur, Savannah and Zachary Pedersen, Madalyn Niven, Jaden Bower and Nathaniel Larson. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry LaFleur; a great-grandson, Cole Matthew Niven; a sister, Ruby Weber; and two brothers, Archie and Roy Robertson. Pallbearers will be David, Douglas and Patrick LaFleur, Laura Roller, Jeff Pedersen, Matthew and Mark Niven, Tamara Bower, Kelly Larson, Melynda Hirschauer and Eric Larson.
