Description	:	Opal Harris Thomason died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the age of 94 after a brief illness. Although she had lived in Lancaster over fourteen years, she was a true "Southern Belle." She was born and raised in Greenville, NC. She was married for over fifty years to George Walton Thomason, who predeceased her almost twenty years ago. Her passions have included children, as she taught kindergarten for many years, and music, which led her to be a church organist for most of her life. She was married for over fifty years to George Walton Thomason, who predeceased her almost twenty years ago. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, can be made to the Silent Samaritan Fund at 1803 Oregon Pike. A service will be held at the discretion of the family.
