Burial was in the LAKE CITY CEMETERY, Lake City, Calhoun County, Iowa. OPAL DELORES {ARMSTRONG} DUMDEI was born May 13, 1924 at Knoke, Iowa, to parents Charles and Zelma ARMSTRONG. OPAL was baptized in 1932. She graduated from Pomeroy High School with the class of 1942. On June 21, 1942 she was confirmed at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City, Iowa, and was married to LAWRENCE DUMDEI at the Pomeroy Methodist Parsonage in Pomeroy, Iowa. OPAL worked as a truck driver, waitress, clerk, was a school bus driver and a carrier for the United States Post Office for 20 years. After retiring, OPAL spent time with the elderly, caring for them in their homes.
