Read More	Atlantic Evening News July 8, 1911 Page 4 Little One Dies Suddenly Opal Edwards was born in Cumberland, Iowa December 4, 1909 and died July 3, 1911, her age being 1 year, 6 months, and 29 days. The little one had always enjoyed good health and was very bright and cheerful until the day before her death. She took sick on Sunday morning and gradually grew worse until a little past midnight when she peacefully passed away. The grief is deepened from the fact that this is the second time recently that the death has come into this home almost suddenly. One year ago last October, Glen, aged 3 years and 6 months, accidentally drank lye and after a hard struggle to live soon passed away. While time has been trying to heal the scar another wound has been made. The parents who are so deeply grieved will have the sympathy of many relatives and a host of friends. The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church by Rev. Jackson Giddens, pastor of the M. E. church, and the remains were laid to rest in the Cumberland cemetery. - Cumberland Enterprise
