She was born July 11, 1921 at Blue Grass, Va., a daughter of James Bunker and Mattie Pearl Fleisher. She was the adopted daughter of J. Fred and Stella (Swank) Moyers. She was born July 11, 1921 at Blue Grass, Va., a daughter of James Bunker and Mattie Pearl Fleisher. She was the adopted daughter of J. Fred and Stella (Swank) Moyers. On April 8, 1939, she married Mevlin R. Halterman. She was a member of the Harper Chapel Church. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Carol Lee Wimer of Staunton; a son, Earl R. Halterman of Rt. 5, Staunton; a sister, Virginia Starling of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandson. A service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Sites and the Rev. Nelson Lea. Burial was in the Blue Grass Cemetery. Highland Recorder May 3, 1929 Mrs. Ethel Colaw received the sad news of her brother Bunker Fleisher, of Martinsburg, being very ill from having his leg amputated a few weeks ago. Highland Recorder May 10, 1929 Martinsburg, W.Va.— James Bunker Fleisher, 33, native of Highland county, Virginia, died at a local hospital of injuries sustained in a limestone quarry here, March 30th, when he and his employer, J.L. Kite, were caught under a slide of stone at which they were working. Mr. Kite also a Virginian, was killed instantly. His widow and several children survive him. Mr. Fleisher had come here to work only six weeks before he was killed. Highland Recorder May 10, 1929 Clarence Colaw, wife and son Emmett, left Saturday for Martinsburg to see their brother Bunker Fleisher, who is in dying condition from a mine caving in on him. His sister, Mrs. Colaw, is still with him, while his condition is very grave. There seems to he no hope for his life at this time.
