Gary Coble, intern at St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state Monday from 4 to 9 pm at the Howser Mortuary. The former Opal Cork, she was born Oct. 20, 1909, at Dallas, S.D., to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cork and came to Norfolk in 1930. She married Byron Negley in November 1932 at Norfolk. A career U.S. Navy man, Negley died in August 1975. Mrs. Negley is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. Olive Cork of Wagner, S.D.; one brother and five sisters, Clare Cork of Brewster, Minn., Mrs. Cecile Alexander of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Avon Kaiser of Inglewood, Colo., Mrs. Irma Kentott of Elk Grove, Calif., Mrs. Shirley Baumgartner of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Gwen Nohr of Littleton, Colo." Pallbearers - Robert Bentz, Everett Kohler, Austin Leland, Arnold Sovereign. No personal marker found in cemetery.
