Kathy Bryant officiating. Mrs. Petersen was born Sept. 26, 1918, to Clarence and Tena (Nelson) Enger in Ord. Her father died when she was 2 months old. Services were held at First Christian Church in Minden with the Rev. Kathy Bryant officiating. Mrs. Petersen was born Sept. 26, 1918, to Clarence and Tena (Nelson) Enger in Ord. Her father died when she was 2 months old. She and her mother moved to the Holstein area, and her mother married George Petersen, Sr. She grew up in the Holstein area and graduated from Holstein High School. She attended beauty college in Hastings. On Sept. 24, 1938, she married Wilbur Petersen in North Platte. They lived in Minden. She was a beauty operator and then worked as a waitress in the area. Her husband died in 1986. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Minden and the women's groups in the church. She volunteered at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney and at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings. Survivors are one daughter, Diane Koos of Roseland; three sons, Bill of Hastings and Jerry and Jay, both of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacqueline; and one stepbrother.
