She was born December 20, 1927, in Coldwater, Kansas, to Robert R. and Calla Lily (Guyer) Kessee. She grew up and attended schools in Coldwater. She and Richard Hoffman were married April 24, 1948, in Vinita, Oklahoma. Following their marriage, they lived south of Coldwater, KS, and then Alva, KS, before moving to Wichita, KS in 1954. She was born December 20, 1927, in Coldwater, Kansas, to Robert R. and Calla Lily (Guyer) Kessee. She grew up and attended schools in Coldwater. She and Richard Hoffman were married April 24, 1948, in Vinita, Oklahoma. Following their marriage, they lived south of Coldwater, KS, and then Alva, KS, before moving to Wichita, KS in 1954. In 1955, they moved to Haysville, KS. They divorced in 1978. She moved to Wichita in 1982 where she had lived since. She worked for Dockum Drug and Kreonite in Wichita and retired from there in 1998. She sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed cross stitching, watching cooking shows, and collecting recipes. She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Wichita and the American Legion Auxiliary Air Capitol Post No. 401 in Wichita. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Deal, Wichita, KS, and Dee Ann Vannoster (Rick), Afton, OK; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorthy Kyser (Dick), Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Hoffman in November 2001; one infant daughter, Carol Ann Hoffman; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are January 4, 2008, at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas. Following cremation, burial of ashes will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to St. Luke Presbyterian Church or the American Legion in Wichita, Kansas. ******************
