Description	:	Ophelia Pearl Printz, 97, of 29 Blue Ridge Ave., Luray, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. She was born on July 29, 1913, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Starlus Lee and Rena Pearl Hoak Printz. Ms. Printz graduated from Bluestone, now James Madison University, with a BS in elementary education. She taught second grade for eight years at Pine Grove Elementary and Springfield Elementary schools. She left teaching to help run the family business, Printz Planing Mill in Luray. Read More	Ophelia Pearl Printz, 97, of 29 Blue Ridge Ave., Luray, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. She was born on July 29, 1913, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Starlus Lee and Rena Pearl Hoak Printz. Ms. Printz graduated from Bluestone, now James Madison University, with a BS in elementary education. She taught second grade for eight years at Pine Grove Elementary and Springfield Elementary schools. She left teaching to help run the family business, Printz Planing Mill in Luray. She is much beloved and her home remains the focal point for many family celebrations. She was active in Eastern Star and St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she could be found on the third pew on Sunday, and was involved with the quilters. One of her favorite activities was breakfast out with her friends twice a week. Ophelia never married but has 15 nieces and nephews, including caregiver James Printz Jr. of Luray, as well as numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Drexel Lee and James Franklin Printz; and a sister, Ramona Lederer. A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at St. Mark Lutheran Church by the Rev. R. Nicholas Eichelberger. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
