Higgins, 93, were held Friday afternoon at the Timeon Funeral Home in Perry with burial in the Lake City Cemetery. Mr. Higgins, a long time resident of Plover, died Tuesday in the Dallas County Hospital. Ora C. Higgins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Higgins....A resident of Plover, for more than 40 years, he was married to Edna M. DeSart on November 30, 1911. She preceded him in death in 1969. Higgins was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Lodge at Plover, the Plover Presbyterian Church and belonged to the York Rites at Emmetsburg. For the last five years, Mr. Higgins had resided at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home at Perry. Survivors include three sons, R.D. Higgins, Rolfe, Max R. Higgins, LaGrange, Ill., and Bruce Higgins, Seattle, Wash.; also sever grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nora Hoag, San Bernardino, Calif., and Mrs. Floyd Taylor, Yakima, Wash. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, an infant daughter, three brothers and one sister.
