Services are Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Burial is at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitiation is Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include a son David Rude of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Nancy (Charles) Wead of Harmony, Minn.; a brother, Chester Scheetz Jr. of Illinois; three sisters, Mildred Tristani and Nancy Dowd, both of Florida, and Grace Hartson of Montezuma. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Don and Merton; and by a sister, Helen Meshling. Ora Mae was born on April 12, 1921 in Decorah, the daughter of Chester and Emma Ploeger Sheetz. She married Vernon M. Rude, they were later divorced. She then married Louis W. Cozart. He died in 1979. Ora Mae worked on the assembly line at Collins Radio for 28 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Cedar Valley Rock Club. She enjoyed crafts, photograph and especially time spent with her friends and beloved family. A memorial fund has been established in Ora Mae's name.
