Description	:	Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Olaf Lutheran Church for Ordean Hogenson, 71, retired Devils Lake barber who died Saturday evening in Americana Nursing Home, Fargo. Rev. Roger Thorson will officiate at the service and interment in the family plot of the Devils Lake Cemetery. Hogenson was born Oct. 13, 1906 near Esmond, the son of Ole and Betsy Haugen Hogenson. He attended school there and was graduated from Molar Barber College in Fargo. On May 10, 1931, he was united in marriage to Manda Halvorson at Fargo and they lived at Esmond until moving to Brocket in 1945 where he operated a grain elevator. He later operated grain elevators at Calvin, Michigan, and Churchs Ferry before coming to Devils Lake in 1954. In Devils Lake he as associated with Mike's Barber Shop and in 1960 purchased the business and operated it until his health forced him to retire in May, 1977. He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, IOOF Lodge, the Eagles and Elks. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Crawford of West Fargo; two sons, Curtis Hogenson, St. Paul, Minn., and Warren Hogenson, Magna, Utah; one brother Arthur B. Hogenson, Auburn, Wash.; and three sisters, Mrs. George (Mabel) Muri, Harlow; Mrs. Martin (Ella) Ronning, Fergus Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Jewell Wrightsman, San Jose, Calif. Seven grandchildren also survive. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
