Description	:	Oren Shiverick Foley, 76, of Bonita Springs, passed away on May 16, 2005 at North House of Hope Hospice after a year's battle with brain cancer. He was born in Cambridge, MA on October 7, 1928, the son of the late Charles M. and Ethel Shiverick Foley. He grew up in Dennis, MA where he was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Dennis-Yarmouth High School Band and basketball team. Read More	Oren Shiverick Foley, 76, of Bonita Springs, passed away on May 16, 2005 at North House of Hope Hospice after a year's battle with brain cancer. He was born in Cambridge, MA on October 7, 1928, the son of the late Charles M. and Ethel Shiverick Foley. He grew up in Dennis, MA where he was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Dennis-Yarmouth High School Band and basketball team. He served the US Marine Corp for two years following graduation from high school. After the service he graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Business Administration in 1953. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Sigma Fraternity. That June he was accepted on the Financial Training Program at General Electric Company in Syracuse, NY. In 1957, he transferred to Cleveland, OH and GE's Lamp division where he did financial work in the Engineering Department. In 1960 he became Financial manager of the Youngstown Lamp Plant, and in 1964 returned to Nela Park to become the Administrator of Large Lamp Manufacturing. He held other management positions within the department before taking early retirement in 1988. Oren was a former member of the Euclid JC's, St. Martin Episcopal Church, Chagrin Falls, OH, Legend Lakes Golf Club, the Wembley Club and a trustee of Hemlock Hills Homeowner's Association. In Bonita Springs he was an active member of Highland Woods Golf and Country Club serving on the Buildings and Grounds Committee as the "Pool Czar". And he was a member of Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Jane (Thompson) of Bonita Springs, a twin sister, Ethel M. MacQuarrie of Warren, RI and two nieces, Lisa Ryland (John) of Morris, NY and Susan Hobson (Benjamin) of Basking Ridge, NJ and their five children, Tim & Abigail Ryland, John "Mac", Wesley and Eleanore Hobson. He was preceded in death by his sister Irene Foley. A memorial service will be held at Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church, 553 Galleon Drive, Naples on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 11:00 am.
