Mitcheltree, a pioneer resident and in point of years of practice, probably one of the oldest veterinarians in the state. Early in the morning he had answered a call to the farm of Herbert Andrews, residing southeast of town, where he was called to attend some sick stock. While examining a cow he was stricken with apoplexy, fell and died almost instantly. The deceased man was born in Wisconsin and was 73 years old last October. he came to Forest Home when only 12 years of age. He began his preliminary studies to fit him for the work of a veterinary surgeon when he was 16 years old and continued practicing up to the hour of his death. He came to New Sharon 39 years ago last March, opening an office which he has maintained here ever since. He leaves a wife, three daughters and two sons to mourn his loss. Funeral arrangements will await the arrival of his sons, Edward, of Fort Morgan, Colo.; and Robert, of Spencer, Iowa. - New Sharon Star.
