Description	:	Orley Renner, 93, of Howells, Nebraska, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in West Point, Nebraska. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells with Rev. Bruce Schut officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery north of Howells. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 9:30 AM until service time, all at the church. Memorials are suggested as those of the donor's choice. Orley was born June 7, 1923, in Stanton County, Nebraska, to Harry and Amanda (Kuester) Renner. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, north of Howells. Orley attended District 32 Grade School and St. John's Lutheran School. On February 13, 1945, Orley was united in marriage to Norma Nadrchal at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson. Orley lived his entire life on the same farm he was born on. He was awarded the "Pioneer Homestead Award" from AKSARBEN. He loved collecting antiques especially dolls and clocks. Orley and Norma had a little shop on the farm that they sold antiques out of. Orley enjoyed bowling and playing pitch. He served on the school board and church board. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells. Orley is survived by: Wife - Norma Renner of Howells, NE Daughter - LaVaine (Ron) Nathan of Omaha, NE Son - Elliott Renner of Howells, NE Daughter-in-law - Lisa Renner-Ellermeier of Linwood, NE 8 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren Orley was preceded in death by: Parents - Harry and Amanda Renner Son - Ellroy Renner Five Sisters Two Infant Brothers
