Description	:	Orlyn F. Bergmann Orlyn F. Bergmann, 82, of Clinton, died Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Wyndcrest Nursing Facility. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Monday, February 19th at Ascension Lutheran Church, 155 O’Brian St, Gooselake, IA. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Sunday, February 18th at Lemke Funeral Homes South, 2600 Lincolnway. Pastor Caroline E. Engelbrecht will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Eric Koberg, Jeff Koberg, Reid Koberg, Tony Bergmann, Adam Bergmann, Jason Bergmann, and Josh Bergmann. Honorary Pallbearers will be his remaining grandchildren. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Orlyn was born May 16, 1924 in Tripoli, IA to Herman and Minnie (Hirsch) Bergmann. He was a high school graduate. He served in the United States Army as an Engineer in the 4th Armored Division during WWII. He was employed in the poultry business until 1968 and then took employment at Krambeck Hatchery in Clinton. He married Betty Dockwell on December 26, 1947 in Cedar Falls, IA. Orlyn enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Orlyn is survived by six children; Debbie (James) Krambeck of Davenport, IA; Jon (Cathy) Bergmann of Clinton, IA; Susan Williams of Moline, IL; Craig (Kim) Bergmann of Charlotte, IA; Lori (Steve) Uelner of Milwaukee, WI; Davis (Deb) Bergmann of Eldridge, IA; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers; Leland (Esther) Bergmann of Tripoli, IA; and Arlie (Ardis) Bergmann of Waverly, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife Betty. Memorials may be made to the Ascension Lutheran Church, or Wyndcrest Nursing Facility.
