Slusser, fifty-one years old, who was found dead in his automobile about 11 o'clock Thursday night near the Capehart Automatic Phonograph Corporation's plant, will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the United Brethren church at Roanoke with the Rev. Knepp in charge. Burial will be at the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Roanoke. Mr. Slusser had worked until 9 o'clock and a few minutes later left the plant. Knepp in charge. Burial will be at the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Roanoke. Mr. Slusser had worked until 9 o'clock and a few minutes later left the plant. He went to this machine and had prepared to start the car. Burning lights of the automobile attracted the attention of the night watchmen a few hours later and Mr. Slusser was found slumped over the steering wheel. The police department was notified of the happening. Mr. Slusser had been dead for some time when found according to indications. Dr. G. M. Nie, county coroner, investigated the death and his verdict was death by healt (sic) trouble. It was thought that Mr. Slusser died about 9:10 o'clock, a few minutes after he left the Capehart plant. He had seemed in normal health during the evening, fellow workmen said. Mrs. Slusser, when notified of her husband's death, was on her way to the plant in search of him. She said that she had been aroused from sleep by a noise which she thought was her husband's rap at the bedroom window. She went to the door to let him in but found no one there. Becoming alarmed, she dressed and was walking toward the plant when she met Patrolman William Millen, who was on his way to the Slusser home carrying the news of the husband's death. Mr. Slusser was born September 9, 1877, in Huntington county to Albert and Susannah Slusser. He married Mary C. Fosnaugh, September 2, 1899. One daughter, Evalena Maybell is dead. Surviving is the widow and mother, Mrs. William Wetters of Warren township. One brother, Otto C. Slusser, lives in Chicago. The family residence is at 532 Webster street.
