Description	:	Orval A. Telecky, 76, of Wenatchee, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 20, 2002, of cardiac arrest. He was born on March 9, 1926 at Ritzville to Charles and Lillian (Hudec) Telecky. Orv grew up on a wheat ranch near Sprague. He attended Ritzville High School and joined the U.S. Marines during W.W. II. He served on Saipan in the South Pacific. He was one of the first Marines to be sent to Nagasaki, Japan to help with the clean up after the A bomb. Following his honorable discharge, he worked on a couple of wheat ranches... Read More	Orval A. Telecky, 76, of Wenatchee, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 20, 2002, of cardiac arrest. He was born on March 9, 1926 at Ritzville to Charles and Lillian (Hudec) Telecky. Orv grew up on a wheat ranch near Sprague. He attended Ritzville High School and joined the U.S. Marines during W.W. II. He served on Saipan in the South Pacific. He was one of the first Marines to be sent to Nagasaki, Japan to help with the clean up after the A bomb. Following his honorable discharge, he worked on a couple of wheat ranches near Ritzville. On Nov. 5, 1947, he married Eleanor (Pennie) Larsen. They were married for 54 years. They had two sons, Scott and his wife, Marie, of Bellevue; Todd and his wife, Lisa, of East Wenatchee; his grandchildren, Zeke, Zach, Krystal, Scott and Lisa. Orv and Pennie moved to Wenatchee in 1956 and Orv worked at the Columbia Texaco in Wenatchee before moving to the Eastmont Texaco. He enjoyed driving his "Red Pickup" and also enjoyed his garden and flowers. After his retirement, he worked part time for the Keane Brothers, doing farm work, which he loved. Most mornings, Orv went to Rock Island to have coffee with his friends. He will be missed. A private family-only Graveside Service will be held on Monday at Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the CWH Cardiac Care Unit. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
