Description	:	Orval George Jacobsen, 87, of Minden died Friday, March 11, 2005, at his home southeast of Minden after a battle with cancer. Services were held Wednesday at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Campbell with Pastor C.L. Wimer and the Rev. Dr. Berke Landrum officiating. He was born on March 6, 1918, on the family farm southwest of Glenvil in Adams County to Peder and Edith (Classen) Jacobsen. Read More	Orval George Jacobsen, 87, of Minden died Friday, March 11, 2005, at his home southeast of Minden after a battle with cancer. Services were held Wednesday at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Campbell with Pastor C.L. Wimer and the Rev. Dr. Berke Landrum officiating. He was born on March 6, 1918, on the family farm southwest of Glenvil in Adams County to Peder and Edith (Classen) Jacobsen. On June 8, 1950 he married Melray L'Heureux at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Campbell. Survivors include his wife; sons, Rhn of Franklin and Doral and Boyd, both of Minden; and daughters, Una of Hastings, Holly Cloud of Lebanon, Tenn., and Elsie Gladden of San Diego. Additional survivors include daughter-in-law, Paula of Franklin; and sons-in-law, Butch Cloud of Lebanon and Randy Gladden of San Diego grandchildren, Jessica Goosic and her husband, Andy, of Franklin, Peder of Franklin, and Kathryn and Kelly Cloud, both of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Drew, Emma and Eva Goosic, all of Franklin. He was confirmed at the Fredericksburg Lutheran Church south of Minden. He attended grade school in Adams County and then moved to Kearney County and graduated from Minden High School in 1937. He and his wife lived and farmed southeast of Minden. He was a past board member of the Minden Farmer's Co-op and Supply, Cosmo Township and the Norman Telephone Board. He was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Campbell. He served as a caregiver all of his life. He loved to be around people and would visit with everyone. He truly enjoyed people. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Delmar.
