Description	:	WAVERLY - Orval H. Trost, 95, of Waverly, died Monday, Sept. 26, at Waverly Health Center. He was born June 11, 1916, in Readlyn, son of John and Bertha Krueger Trost. He married Neva Aletha Fjetland on Nov. 25, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo. She died Sept. 18, 2003. Mr. Trost graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1934. He worked at the Waterloo Cedar Falls & Northern Railroad, Chicago Great Western, Northern Pacific Terminal at Portland, Ore., and Illinois Central Railroad, retiring in 1977 as a freight and passenger conductor. He was born June 11, 1916, in Readlyn, son of John and Bertha Krueger Trost. He married Neva Aletha Fjetland on Nov. 25, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo. She died Sept. 18, 2003. Mr. Trost graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1934. He worked at the Waterloo Cedar Falls & Northern Railroad, Chicago Great Western, Northern Pacific Terminal at Portland, Ore., and Illinois Central Railroad, retiring in 1977 as a freight and passenger conductor. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, United Transportation Union and National Association Retired & Veteran Railway Employees. Survived by a son, James (Lory) of Waverly; a daughter, Sandra McDonald of Waverly; three grandchildren, Roshelle, Alex and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Andrea, Jacob, Anne and Rainee; and a great-great-granddaughter, Morgan Leigh. Preceded in death by a son, Jon; a sister, Delores Graff; a half sister, Elda Diercks; a brother-in-law, Edward Pearson; and an adopted brother, Gail Trost Family-directed memorial services 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Waverly, with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Artesian. The family will greet friends after the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
